Charlie-Daniels
The Musicians Hall of Fame announced Chet Atkins and Charlie Daniels are among this year’s honorees. Grammy award winning guitarist and Grande Ole Opry member Steve Wariner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Felix Cavaliere announced the inductees at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown Nashville on Tuesday.

Atkins and Daniels join The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s bassist Billy Cox; Monument Records founder Fred Foster; progressive rock group Toto; surf guitar innovator Dick Dale; Victor Feldman, who worked with Miles Davis and Steely Dan; and Motown arranger Paul Riser as Hall of Famers.

The honorees will be officially inducted on Oct. 12 at the 2009 Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum Awards Show in the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
