Miranda Lambert’s May 17 second annual “Cause for the Paws” event in Tyler, Texas, resulted in the largest fundraiser Lambert has ever hosted with $120,000 raised. The event topped last year’s earnings of $113,000 and proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of East Texas.
"I can't express how much this year's 'Cause For the Paws' event touched me," Lambert said. "The giving spirit of those who were at the event this year was truly inspiring. It means the world to me and to the animals of East Texas. I am excited to see the improvements that we will make at the shelter. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I cannot wait to see everyone next year!"
Activities at the event included a silent and live auction, food and wine tasting, a VIP private cocktail party for sponsors of the event and a concert featuring Lambert, Blake Shelton, Kasey Musgraves and Adam Hood.
Lambert is also scheduled to appear at the CMA Music Fest next week in Nashville. Learn more about the event at CountryHound's CMA Music Fest page.
