ACM and Trace Adkins Team Up To Support Troops

Trace Adkins is known for his philanthropic nature, and this year, the Academy of Country Music has joined forces with the artist as they unveil their charitable fund, ACM Lifting Lives.Adkins will perform "Til the Last Shot's Fired," at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, in honor of the Wounded Warrior Project, the charity selected by Lifting Lives.  Adkins, a long-time supporter of the military, will perform the song with the West Point Glee Club, to the servicemen and women seated in the front rows of the ceremony.The WWP is an organization that provides support to troops wounded in combat.  "It's a privilege to perform this song with such a distinguished choir for the great servicemen and women in whose honor it was written," said Adkins.  "We should always let our military know how much we appreciate them putting their lives on the line for us every day"A download of the song will be available at iTunes, and all profits will benefit the WWP.  The ACM Awards will air Sunday, April 5 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
