Lance Smith, a CMT VJ, has been tapped to host the second season of CMT's series "Can You Duet" that started with a casting show on Saturday in Nashville. Smith has experience with multiple awards shows including the CMA and ACM Awards and the Grammys. He's also participated in the broadcasts at the CMA Music Festival during the summer. "Can You Duet" features contestants competing as a duo to further themselves in the competition. Along the way, they may be asked to switch partners to toughen the game. Judges guide the contestants and critique them in order to help them improve as the process continues. Over 5,000 aspiring singers showed up for the audition in Nashville to become part of the competition.
