Music Veteran Joins Bug Music Nashville

Roger-Murrah Songwriter and publisher Roger Murrah was recently named senior vice president, Nashville at Bug Music Publishing, one of the largest independent publishers in the country. Murrah will work with Bug to retain copyrights for schools, sign staff writers and work on his own music.Along with having Murrah on staff, the company also worked out a deal to receive part of Murrah Music's catalogs and retain his staff writers. His writers include some of Nashville's finest like Rebecca Lynn Howard and Neal Coty. CEO of Bug Music John Rudolph expressed his happiness with the deal they made in a statement."I'm delighted to find someone with Roger's experience, credentials and contacts to enhance our Nashville office, my hometown," Rudolph said. "This was an innovative deal that will allow us to pursue some really creative opportunities and redefine the way a publishing company operates. Roger has a rare combination of creative and business skills that complement each other very well."
