2008 ACM Awards Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney

Miranda Lambert’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was somewhat of a surprise choice for Album of the Year, though a favorite of music critics it hasn’t received much airplay. The album was produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke. Sugarland’s single “Stay” won as Song of the Year.

Carrie Underwood was no surprise as Top Female Vocalist, while Brad Paisley won for Top Male Vocalist. Taylor Swift is the Academy of Country Music’s top New Female Vocalist, while Jack Ingram was the top New Male Artist, and Lady Antebellum won as top New Duo or Vocal Group.
