Music's bad boy, Kid Rock, has much to celebrate in the new year. With a double platinum album, Rock N Roll Jesus, and a monster smash hit with "All Summer Long," the Kid has enjoyed a chart-topping 2008.The artist that first hit airwaves with "Badwitaba" has now found his way to the eardrums of Country Music fans, and he's not surprised. In a recent interview with CMT, the headline-making rocker turned Country singer said the success of "All Summer Long," which borrowed from both Lynyrd Skynyrd and Warren Zevon, wasn't a surprise. "It's like having a football team with Brett Favre and Barry Sanders on it," he explained. "You're just not gonna beat it."I love being able to jump onstage with Jay-Z and perform or jump onstage with Hank Jr. or Aerosmith or whoever it is and just be part of music and a part of life. I've been very blessed," he said. The artist also goes on to expound on his music genre-hopping, comparing his artistic journey to hosting dinner parties with an eclectic guest list, which includes Kenny Chesney and the Eagles. "Bringing people together is one of my favorite things...I believed that's what a rock 'n' roll Jesus would really do — bring people together through music."To read the full CMT.com interview, click here.
