Miley Cyrus and Jeffrey Steele Receive Golden Globe Nomination

Jeffrey Steele and Miley Cyrus perform together in 2008Miley Cyrus and Jeffrey Steele picked up a Golden Globe nomination last week for Best Original Song for “I Thought I Lost You.” The track was recorded by Cyrus and John Travolta for the Disney Pixar film, Bolt. Steele and Cyrus are long-time family collaborators: dad Billy Ray recorded several songs written by Steele and Miley recorded Steele’s “Simple Song” for Breakout.  “I’m so stoked! I never expected to get nominated,” Miley told People. “I can't believe I’m on the same list as Clint Eastwood, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and everyone else.”  Steele has written seven No. 1 songs and eight No. 2 songs, as well as produced hit albums for Keith Anderson and Mongomery Gentry. The Nashville Star judge has also written huge hits for Gretchen Wilson, Trace Adkins, Rascal Flats, Van Zant, Montgomery Gentry and Craig Morgan.
