Additional opening acts will be announced at a later date. 2008 has been a great year for Hough, who recently topped the Country and Top 200 charts with her debut self-titled album and with her catchy first single, “That Song In My Head.” Her latest single, “My Hallelujah Song,” and her first holiday record, The Julianne Hough Holiday Collection, are available exclusively at Target.   Strait’s tour will begin on May 9 in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. He will be helping the citizens of Hidalgo, Texas, as they celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Dodge Arena. The performance will be Strait’s first visit to Hidalgo. Strait will also be performing in July in Canada for the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, AB, and the Craven Country Jamboree in Craven, SK. Later, Strait will perform at Country Fest 2009 in Cadott, Wis., at Music Fest in Milwaukee and will return to the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyo., for a special, one-night performance.      Recently, Strait received four Grammy nominations that include Best Country Collaboration with Vocals for “Shiftwork” with Kenny Chesney, and “House of Cash” with Patty Loveless, Best Male Country Vocal Performance for “Troubadour” and Best Country Song for “I Saw God Today.” For tour dates visit www.georgestrait.com.
