CMT Lines Up Star-Studded Holiday Specials

CMT is giving fans of Country Music a reason to stay home during the holiday season by airing several Christmas specials sure to bring out the holiday spirit. Programs like Larry the Cable Guy’s Star Studded Christmas Extravaganza and The 12 Days of Redneck Christmas, along with Faith Hill’s Joy to the World: A Soundstage Special Event and CMT Giants: Alan Jackson will all be aired this month.  Larry the Cable Guy’s Christmas special includes appearances from Toby Keith, Lewis Black, Fred Willard and comedian Victoria Jackson. Country artists Rodney Atkins, Emily West and Montgomery Gentry served up performances for the Star Studded Christmas Extravaganza. Meanwhile, Faith Hill’s Christmas special features songs from her newest album, Joy to the World. Hill performed holiday favorites like “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” and “Holly, Jolly Christmas.”  CMT Giants features Alan Jackson in a 90-minute special taped at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Country Music’s capitol. George Strait, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert all lined up to honor Jackson with performances. Other CMT holiday specials include the The 12 Days of Redneck Christmas, Nascar:  The Ride of Their Lives, and the CMT Top 20 Countdown of the Year.
