Country legend Charlie Daniels is telling everyone to get out and express their opinion with their vote next week. Twenty-eight years after his patriotic hit, “In America,” Daniels is still pushing the need for everyone to exercise the rights given to them. According to The Tennessean, although Daniels has a more conservative viewpoint, he still wants those who disagree with him to let their opinion be known on Election Day. “Get out and vote,” Daniels told The Tennessean. “I am so disgusted every time when the election returns come in that only a certain percentage of the people have voted. And some of them are the ones who complain the loudest. You have nothing to complain about if you don’t vote.” Daniels stressed that if at least 80 percent of all those eligible to vote would, things in Washington would be quite different. “Vote for whoever you want to,” he said. “Vote for Obama or McCain or write in somebody; at least take the time to vote.”
