Country’s macho man Trace Adkins opened his home to the DIY Network’s Indoors Out to help build an outdoor kitchen on his family farm. Hosts of the show Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns join Adkins at his home outside Nashville for three days while they start and finish the kitchen. Fans will be able to check out the show on Monday, Nov. 24 at 10 p.m. EST.Adkins has spent years transforming what was once a dairy farm into the sanctuary he returns to after long trips away on the road. According to a statement, he looks at his home as a place to wind down and rest.“This property is like a personal retreat and it’s always been therapeutic to come out here and work hard and be completely exhausted at the end of the day,” said Adkins. “I’ve also been a longtime fan of DIY, so I’m really excited about getting down and dirty with their team to build this new outdoor kitchen that my family will enjoy for years to come.”Marsico and Stearns worked hard to make sure the kitchen matched its surroundings. It will have a patio, retaining wall, dining area and fireplace. The kitchen will also have electrical power, natural gas and running water to make the area fully functional.November will be a big month for Adkins as he is releasing X, his tenth album for Capitol Records, on Tuesday, Nov. 25. On the same day, his episode of Indoors Out will also be aired on GAC at 10 p.m. EST, directly after his special, Trace Adkins: X (Ten) Days, at 9 p.m.
