Suit Up For Amelia Island 's Songwriter Festival

Amelia Island, Fla., will be the destination of Nashville's top songwriters at the end of the month for the First Annual Amelia Island Songwriter's Festival. The five-day festival, Aug. 27-31, will include workshops, seminars, songwriting competitions and, of course, performances by songwriters. Songwriting seminars and workshops will be taught by instructor Jason Blume (Backstreet Boys' "Back To Your Heart,") and PBS children's songwriter Shana Banana. At the end of the festival, the "Song of the Year" and "Songwriter of the Year" will be announced, with a $1,000 cash prize and studio time.
