Western Wishes, a nonprofit charity that grants the wishes of severely ill children, will be in granting spirit this week in Nashville. The group is honoring two young boys, Darrell and Anthony Towe, ages 16 and 5, of Gulf Port, Miss., at a Western Wishes press party held at the Wild Horse Saloon on Thursday, AugĀ 28 and at the Nashville PBR at the Sommet Center on Aug. 30. The Towe boys were recently diagnosed with leukemia, and along with their four other siblings and parents, endured tragedy from Hurricane Katrina, which destroyed their Mississippi home. Singer/songwriter Deborah Allen will host the event, which will feature music industry professionals, bull riders and a silent auction for Western Wishes and the Towe family. Both boys will attend a reception with the PBR bull riders and receive a special tour behind the chutes. The Towe family will meet world champion bull riders Mike White, Adriano Moraes and Justin McBride. Western Wishes is celebrating its newly-formed chapter in Nashville. The charity is dedicated to granting wishes to kids and young adults who are critically ill, severely injured or physically challenged.
