Country Music star Trace Adkins gives newcomer Kellie Pickler sage words of advice on the premiere episode of Into the Circle, a new concept show from Great American Country. The new GAC program pairs up-and-coming Country Music stars with seasoned veterans, who are there to bestow advice on the newcomers as they work their way toward the "circle" of the Grand Old Opry. "On my first visit to the Opry my Grandpa bought tickets and we went and Trace was actually performing there," recalled Pickler. "I'm so honored to actually be able to go and sing there and hopefully I'll be asked to be a member one day." Adkins discussed long hours on cramped tour buses, trustworthy business partners, staying true to himself and making time for the things in life that matter most, which for him, is being a dad. "Being what I am and doing what I do doesn't impress my kids. If I kick the ball over the top of the house, now that impresses them," he said. Other pairs for the show include Travis Tritt and James Otto; Vince Gill and Patty Loveless with Ashton Shepherd; Charlie Daniels and Rodney Atkins; and Brad Paisley with Chuck Wicks. The premiere episode of Into the Circle airs this Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10 p.m. EST.
