Hank Williams Jr. has been considered an icon by many of his fans and peers, but now it's official. Williams will be honored with BMI Icon status at this year's BMI Country Awards, one of the most prestigious award shows in the industry. He will also join a select list of other artists to receive this honor, including Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. The exclusive, invitation-only event will be held on Nov. 11, at BMI's Music Row offices in Nashville.
