John Rich's "Raisin' McCain" is to become part of the GOP Convention soundtrack this September at the Republican National Convention in Minnesota. Rich unveiled the song at a recent concert in Panama City, Fla. Senator John McCain attended the show. The video, available at www.johnrich.com, features Rich and his band performing the song for McCain supporters. Clearly Rich wrote and recorded the song for the McCain campaign, unlike singer Jackson Browne, who recently filed a lawsuit against the presidential candidate. Browne's 1977 hit, "Running on Empty," has been featured in an Ohio TV campaign for McCain. Brown maintains the song was used without his permission.
