Eli Young Band's Debut Album Takes To The Charts

Eli-Young-Band Jet Black and Jealous, Eli Young Band’s first major label debut album, entered the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart today at No. 5 and No. 30 on the Top Current Albums chart.The band’s online fan base bought 23.1 percent of the digital download sales, which is a large percentage, since the average Country release sells around 4-7 percent online. In addition to the band’s new popularity, they will be featured as Clear Channel’s October Artist of the Month.As Clear Channel’s Artist of the Month, the Eli Young Band will have a prominent placement on the main page of all 121 Web sites of the Clear Channel radio stations. The web sites will feature five songs off their new album and their video for “When It Rains," which is the longest running independent single in the history of the chart.Their album Jet Black and Jealous has been receiving rave reviews by music critics from the Top 20 newspapers in America. The Dallas Morning News said, “this rockin’ quartet joins the major-label world with an energetic spirited effort.” Arizona Daily Star stated that their debut album is packed with “deliciously pure Country songs.”Their new single, “Always The Love Songs,” made its way onto the charts two weeks after its release.
