INPUT { behavior: url( ; }INPUT,TEXTAREA,SELECT,.FCK__Anchor,.FCK__PageBreak { behavior: url( ; }TABLE { behavior: url( ; }After news broke earlier this week about Kristen Hall's lawsuit against her former band, Sugarland, the attorney for the award-winning group has released a statement to the media regarding the case. Gary Gilbert released the following statement: "This lawsuit is totally baseless and without merit. Among other factual inaccuracies suggested in the complaint, it is indisputable that Ms. Hall left the group voluntarily and on her own accord. We are absolutely confident that this matter will be resolved in favor of Jennifer and Kristian." Hall's $1.5 million lawsuit states that after she left the band in 2005, a deal was worked out between Hill, Nettles and Bush regarding future profits produced by Sugarland. Hall also claims she came up with the name Sugarland. Additionally, Hall had a hand in writing all the songs from Sugarland's debut album, Twice the Speed of Life. The suit claims Hall has not been compensated for her contributions to the band.
