Joe Diffie will record a live album Friday night at “The World’s Largest Honky Tonk,” Billy Bob’s Texas. He joins a long list of artists to make a live recording at the venue, following in the footsteps of musicians such as Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard.
"I have always wanted to record a live album but wanted to do it right," Diffie said. "Some of my favorite musical heroes, Willie and Haggard, taped live albums at Billy Bob's so it's a career highlight to record my live album in the same venue. I couldn't think of a better place."
Diffie recently scored a No. 1 hit overseas with the song “Long Gone Loner.” The single is a duet with reigning European Artist of the Year, Peter & the Rowers and has reached the top spot on the ECMA Top 100 chart.
