Singers and groups from all over the country are working toward a recording contract with Original Signal Records. Artists left in the competition are J.C. Andersen, Tyler Barham, Angela Engelman, One Night Rodeo, Lane Turner and Megan Conner. The artists performed live for the judges last Wednesday and a winner will be picked tonight. The winner will receive the recording contract and will be placed on the path to stardom in Nashville. The judges for the competition are no strangers to success themselves. Country star Jack Ingram has had hits like “Wherever You Are” and “Lips Of An Angel” after starting in the Texas music scene and working his way to the top. Songwriter Victoria Shaw has generated hits for artists like Garth Brooks and John Michael Montgomery. She also co-produces Lady Antebellum. Famed songwriter Desmond Child, who rounds out the judges table, has written songs for LeAnn Rimes, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and Trisha Yearwood.
