That’s what her husband John McBride said, and according to her record, he’s right. Every time McBride sings the national anthem, her husband keeps track of if the home team wins or loses. Her performance Sunday at the Tennessee Titans game gave her another tally in the wins column, amping her record to 26 and four. According to her husband, it’s lucky that McBride sang Sunday when the Titans played against Jacksonville. “I was thinking ‘Man Jacksonville is so good, Martina’s record is not going to be as good.’ But of course it happened: They won. I loved it.” Even though John banks on Martina singing at certain games to help insure a win, she doesn’t pay attention as much. “She doesn’t pay that much attention to me, so she doesn’t worry about it," John said. "She knows that I love the fact that she is such a good luck charm.” So what’s in store for the future of Martina’s football career? “I’ve been holding out for a Super Bowl," her husband quipped. "I want her to sing the anthem at the Super Bowl.”
