The biggest of the nominations is the nod for Entertainer of the Year, but they received five other nominations total with singer Jennifer Nettles receiving one on her own for writing "Stay." Last year at the CMA Awards, Sugarland took home their first Vocal Duo of the Year Award. Other Sugarland nominations include Vocal Duo of the Year, Single, Song & Video of the Year for “Stay” and Musical Event of the Year for “Life In A Northern Town,” a collaboration with Jake Owen and Little Big Town. With a No. 1 album and several Top ten singles, Sugarland has been unstoppable the past few years. Nettles and partner Kristian Bush could not be more excited about their nominations, according to a statement. "I just finished watching the nomination announcements on TV from my sofa at home, and it is simultaneously humbling and encouraging to be in such amazing company as we are in all of the categories,” said Bush. “It is one thing to play shows every week of the year and imagine ourselves striving to become Entertainers of the Year and another thing all together to have the voting members of the CMA believe that it is possible. Simply awesome."
