The singer/songwriter, best known for his hits "Walk A Little Straighter," "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right," and the Shania Twain duet, "Party For Two," took a hiatus for the past year.The Tennessean reports today that although Currington canceled the end of his 2007 tour due to laryngitis, he spent most of last year dealing with events from his past, including an abusive childhood.Since then, the Georgia native has put together a new album, releasing two singles: "Tangled Up" and "Don't."Currington has a packed touring schedule this month and well into the fall. "As far as the live show, it's exciting," Currington told 2theadvocate.com this week. "It's very energetic. A great band playing great music and people tend to get crazy at our shows for some reason. I don't know how that happens, but somewhere about three quarters of the way through, there's no telling what you're going to see."Currington takes the stage in Nashville tonight at the Wildhorse Saloon at 8:00 p.m., then heads up to Bowling Green, Ohio for a Saturday night show.
