Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert make quite the team, even outside the friendly confines of the South.
The duo recently delighted a crowd at a Monroe, Mich., concert as they played some of their most well-known songs, including their recent compilation hit, “Home.”
Shelton and Lambert shared the stage at times and had it to themselves at others, all the while drawing enthusiastic responses from the fans.
Shelton even delighted concert-goers, claiming that the execs in Nashville strongly advised against his coming to Monroe, pointing to market research and a lack of country music enthusiasm in the area.
"I wish to God they'd brought their asses out here because I'm looking at a crowd,” he said. “No country people in Michigan? What the hell are they talkin' about?!"
The reach of country music is more far-reaching than it would appear.
