A routine tour bus ride home to Nashville was shaken up early Sunday morning for Country Music star Mark Chesnutt.
Chesnutt and his band members were headed home following a performance in Ft. Worth, Texas, when their tour bus was rear-ended at 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Two police cars arrived at the scene and reported that a young, male driver reportedly had been drinking and was driving 100 mph, without a license. The driver’s car was totaled at the scene.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident. There was even time for Chesnutt’s band manager to change a flat tire on one of the police cars before returning to the road.
"I'm really, really glad all the boys are alright. Thank God," Chesnutt said. "...in as much as I was in the air, I'd still rather drive than fly. I love the bus!"
