Lee Ann Womack Crazy About New Release

The much anticipated release of Lee Ann Womack's new album, Call Me Crazy, is set for this fall.  The album is her first since 2005's There's More Where That Came From, and the new project was not without its struggles.

Womack has sidestepped the limelight after her Album of the Year and Song of the Year success with There's More Where That Came From, to spend more time with her family.

When it came time to begin Call Me Crazy Womack knew the expectations for the album. She told The Tennessean this week, "Certainly after you win Album of the Year, there's going to be some pressure. I guess you put that on yourself, and I'm sure I've done that. I just don't want to let anybody down."

In addition to living up to her previous successes, there was a question of which musical road Womack would take for the album: Classic country or the pop-country sound favored by radio?

So management brought in Tony Brown, a move that Womack says put her in "good hands."

"He really had a good handle on how to deal with me and where I was at the time. He let me be creative, but also helped me rein it in to get what was in my head on tape without floundering around too much," said the Country Music star.

The first single "Last Call," has been released to radio.
