Country Music artist George Strait plans to add some Christmas cheer this holiday season when he releases his new album, Classic Christmas.
The album, which features 10 traditional holiday songs, is due for release October 7. Each of the 10 songs is one of Strait’s personal favorites, according to rodeoattitude.com. “We Three Kings” and "Deck The Halls” are among the songs included.
"I wanted to put together a collection of my favorite traditional Christmas songs that I grew up listening to," Strait said. "It was hard to narrow it down to 10 of them, but I think I've done it. I hope these songs bring back good memories for my fans like they have for me."
“The King of Country Music” has recorded 56 number one songs over the past 25 years - more than any artist from any genre of music. He has sold more than 68 million records, with 32 recordings reaching platinum or multi-platinum status.
Strait was inducted into the County Music Hall of Fame in 2006 as one of the few artists to be added while still actively recording and producing music. His newest album, Troubadour, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums charts and earned the artist his 56th No. 1 hit.
