Country singer Chuck Wicks revealed the CMA final nominees for the 2009 CMA Broadcast Personality and Radio Station of the Year. Winners will accept their awards at the 43rd Annual CMA Awards on Nov. 11, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
Of the five finalists selected, winners are chosen through four categories based on the radio market: small, medium, large and major. The contestants are judged based on aircheck, ratings, community involvement and biographical information.
CMA has narrowed the fight for the National Broadcast Personality of the Year down to three candidates. Two-time winner Bob Kingsley is looking for his third trophy. Lia Knight, 2005 and 2007 winner of the personality award, is also looking to claim her third trophy. Finally, Kix Brooks, host of "American Country Countdown," is working to become the first Country artist to win a CMA Broadcast Award.
