Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift are among the first round of artists selected to perform at the 42nd Annual CMA Awards in November. Each of the performers have received nominations for the CMA Awards.

Dierks Bentley's "Miles and Music for Kids III" has increased its lineup for the Oct. 25 event in Nashville. Lady Antebellum and NASCAR's Kyle Petty will make appearances, among others.

Sebastian Bach, actor and former frontman of Skid Row, won the second season of CMT's Gone Country. Bach's winning song will be sent to Country radio as a single.

Russell Crowe has decided that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's 2-month-old daughter, Sunday Rose, is destined to one day marry his own 2-year-old son, Tennyson.

Their 15-date tour concludes with two big dates at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Grant will also release a new Christmas album Sept. 30.

According to award-winning producer Carl Jackson, the new album from Joey & Rory is real Country. The duo from CMT's Can You Duet will release their debut album, The Life Of A Song, on Oct. 28.

After its first week, Darius Rucker's debut Country album, Learn To Live, sold 60,400 copies and earned the top spot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. Rucker also became the third black singer to top the Country singles chart earlier this week with "Don't Think I Don't Think About It."

The Country star is No. 3 on Forbes.com's list of highest-paid music stars, earning $48 million. Also on the list are The Police, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and Madonna.

Artists to perform at the 12th Annual Christmas For Kids Benefit Concert include Rodney Atkins, Charlie Daniels and Montgomery Gentry. The concert raises money to allow children to go on a Christmas shopping spree.

The 25-year-old superstar will continue her already successful Carnival Ride Tour into the fall. The tour has already visited 137 cities and played to more than 700,000 fans. Little Big Town will open for Underwood during the next leg of the tour.

Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker spent 18 months on his debut Country album, Learn To Live, released Sept. 16. Rucker said he plans on making more Country records in the future...
