Sound & Speed Races into Music City

1/8/2008 Stephen L. Betts Country music and NASCAR will both be on the fast track this Saturday (1/12) with the all-day extravaganza Sprint Sound & Speed at Nashville’s Sommet Center. Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Michael Waltrip, Kyle Petty, Jamie McMurray, Ryan Newman, Richard Childress, Clint Bowyer and Juan Pablo Montoya are among the racing figures scheduled to attend the Backstage Garage Pass Festival, signing autographs and participating in Q&A sessions between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, Jason Michael Carroll and the Wrights will hit the concert stage later that evening. Proceeds from the event benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Tickets are available through TicketMaster or the event website www.soundandspeed.org. They are priced at $20 for the Backstage Garage Pass Festival, $39.50 for the concert or $54.50 for both events.
