Country music duo Brooks & Dunn can claim their busy time in
Austrailia as a complete success -- a sold-out concert tour,
recognition for the act's career music sales in the Land Down Under,
not to mention an appearance on a popular Aussie morning show!
Brooks and Dunn performed in front of 12,500 country music fans
at the Acer Arena in Sydney, as the star duo concluded their first tour
of Austrailia. The in-demand tour began February 29th with
consecutive dates at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, then went to
Melbourne for a March 5th show. Dedicated Brooks & Dunn fans
traveled across the continent to see the duo live in concert. Local
reports noted that one group of fans drove seven hours to Perth, and
then flew to be at the Melbourne show.
The star duo received a plaque honoring more than 450,000 units in
career Austrailian country music sales. Brooks & Dunn also earned
a Gold album for their latest CD, Cowboy Town, which recently reached #2 on the Austrailian country chart.
Brooks & Dunn also performed on Austrailia's #1 morning television program, Weekend Sunrise, singing their hit single, "Proud Of The House We Built."
Meanwhile, Brooks & Dunn's "God Must Be Busy" is high on the U.S. Billboard country music charts.
