Most people struggle to enter the world of broadcasting through college classes, internships and sending in resume tapes to every station and network imaginable. But Mitchell Keller makes getting into broadcasting seem simple. At only 17 years old, Keller launched his very own syndicated radio network, Capitol Broadcasting Network (CBN).Of the new network, Keller said, “We consider CBN the future of broadcasting. Our programming gives listeners what they want to hear, considering we have some of the most acclaimed personalities and diverse content.”Keller hosts his popular Country Music program, “The Back Porch Show.” But recently he signed on to host “On Air with Mitchell Keller,” which debuts on Jan. 9. “On Air with Mitchell Keller” is formatted to be a Top40/Hot AC show that will broadcast live from Hollywood, California every weekend. The program will highlight the top talent of music, film and television. The hour-long program will air on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time. So far, more than 15 stations have picked up the show nationwide. Keller even managed to schedule Miley Cyrus as one of his show’s first guests.CBN programming also includes “Old School with Bryan Cox,” an Oldies/Rock show hosted by comedian and Keller’s Network Chief Executive, Bryan Cox; "Secret Ingredient" hosted by renowned chef, cookbook author and journalist Aliza Green; and "The Official Texas Countdown with Chuck Taylor.” “Our roster of talent is growing on a day to day basis”, said Cox. “There is no other radio syndication network that has expanded its horizons into television, like CBN.”
