Hoping to get a foothold in the Country Music industry, 17-year-old Daisy Mallory released her debut single, “Do You Think of Me?” to Country radio last week.

The singer/songwriter recently signed her first record deal with indie label, FrontWater Records, in June. She wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on her current EP, Girl Time, which also includes her debut single.

“We are very excited about the release of Daisy's first single, ‘Do You Think of Me?’ which showcases her impressive songwriting and vocal talents,” said FrontWater Records President Robert Dale. “The song asks a question that many have asked at some point – ‘When you think of love, do you think of me?’ We feel strongly that this sentiment will connect with a lot of young female listeners at Country radio.”

Mallory, an Arizona native and recent Nashville transplant, has generated talk within the Nashville music industry and in Country radio over the past year. The video for “Do You Think of Me?” has received early placement on CMT, GAC and Yahoo.com.

Mallory remains busy in the early stages of her career. She has been invited numerous times to perform at Nashville’s Bluebird Café and will return on Sept. 26. The young singer-songwriter also appeared alongside Reba McEntire, David Foster and Kris Kristofferson at Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night benefit in Phoenix in March.
