Platinum selling country star, Hunter Hayes, will headline the sold-out CMT on Tour: Hunter Hayes’ Let’s Be Crazy tour which kicks off today in Knoxville, TN. With 24 shows in 21 cities, the three-time GRAMMY nominated artist entertained invited guests at Tennessee Performing Arts Center yesterday with a nearly two hour show that featured songs from his self-titled deluxe edition release, (Encore), which was recently certified Platinum by the RIAA. With three consecutive No. 1 singles and over seven million singles sold to date, Hunter has sold more singles than any solo debut country male since the inception of Soundscan’s singles chart. In addition, two of the Top 10 selling country singles of 2013 are currently held by Hunter with “Wanted” and “I Want Crazy.” President and CEO of Warner Music Nashville, John Esposito, commented that, “Hunter is one of only four country artists in the past five years to have a platinum-selling debut album.”
“This tour is a dream come true for me and it is absolutely going be CRAZY! We called it the "Let's Be Crazy" tour because that's exactly what it is,” said Hunter. “It’s crazy to get to headline some of the coolest buildings in the world, it’s crazy to get to play these songs, and I know you guys are going to be CRAZY!”
Now entering its 12th year, CMT on Tour has a long history of working with such superstars as Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley. This is Hunter’s second headlining tour following his sold-out MOST WANTED tour last year and he has shared the stage with greats like Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and most recently with Carrie Underwood on her 90-date Blown Away tour. Critically-acclaimed darling Ashley Monroe will join Hunter as the special guest on CMT on Tour. Check HunterHayes.com and cmtontour.cmt.com for ticket information.
