11/5/2007 Stephen L. Betts Emerson Drive kicked off Country Music Week in Nashville by winning the award for Video of the Year at the Christian Country Music Association’s 2007 Inspirational Country Music Awards on Sunday night (11/4) at the Acuff Theatre. The band kicked off the show with a performance of “Moments,” before going on to win the award for the song’s music video. “Moments” is Emerson Drive’s first chart-topping single. The group will stay busy throughout the week, with a performance at the Chevy Country Tour Concert at the Sommet Center Plaza, (corner of 5th and Broadway). That event will help promote the 2008 CMA Chevy Calendar which features Emerson Drive along with 11 other fellow country artists. This concert is free, open to the public and begins at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Emerson Drive are nominated for two CMA awards this year: Vocal Group of the Year and Video of the Year (“Moments”). Other country artists who were victorious at the Inspirational Country Music Awards this year were Alan Jackson whose album, Precious Memories, won the prize for Inspirational Album of the Year, Sonya Isaacs, who was crowned Female Vocalist, and Josh Turner who earned the award for Mainstream Country Artist of the Year.
