On the eighth anniversary of the release of his debut album, MULTI-PLATINUM entertainer Jason Aldean has already broken the all-time attendance record at Cheyenne's Frontier Days ahead of his show there tonight. The previous mark was held by George Strait. At current count, Aldean has sold 24,457 tickets with walk up lines wrapped around the front gate for what will be the largest concert ever held in the state of Wyoming.

"It's such an unbelievable thing to even have your name uttered in the same breath as a guy like that," said Aldean. "Strait is probably the best country singer of the last century in my opinion. I can only hope for a career that lasts half as long as his...there is still no one cooler than King George!"

This news comes on the eighth anniversary of Aldean’s debut album release. The self-titled disc featured smash singles “Hicktown,” “Amarillo Sky” and his first-ever No. one song “Why.” Since 2005, Aldean has gone on to sell more than eight million copies of his five studio albums, rack up 11 No. one singles and sell out stadium shows.

Aldean, a long-time supporter of the fight against breast cancer, partnered with GE, Susan G. Komen and the Wyoming Women First organization at Frontier Days to help encourage women to sign up for more information on screening options in Wyoming, the state with the third-lowest screening rate in the country. He donated concert tickets, private meet and greet experiences and more to raise awareness of the GE "Mammovan" parked on site, which is a mobile screening facility especially vital in states like Wyoming where the average distance a woman has to travel for a mammogram is 70 miles. Each October, breast cancer awareness month, Aldean dubs one of his tour dates the “Concert for the Cure” and donates all profits to Susan G. Komen, raising in excess of $1 million thus far.
