10/26/2007 Stephen L. Betts   Grand Ole Opry member Brad Paisley has written and recorded a new theme song for GAC's Opry Live. The tune, which showcases Brad's instrumental prowess as well as his songwriting skills, debuts this Saturday (10/27). Brad titled the theme “From Uncle Jimmy to Justin,” referring to Uncle Jimmy Thompson, who played fiddle on the 1925 inaugural broadcast of what would become the Grand Ole Opry, and Brad’s fiddle player, Justin Williamson. “The Drama Kings and I went into the studio last week with the daunting task of coming up with music that encompasses the many generations and styles that are the Grand Ole Opry,” Brad says. “I like what we came up, with and I hope the fans out there do, too. I'm very proud to be a part of this and, yes, the Drama Kings is our newly adopted band name.” The theme song makes its debut this Saturday night as the Opry welcomes its newest member, Josh Turner. Also appearing on on the show this weekend are Vince Gill, the Del McCoury Band and Rissi Palmer. Opry Live airs on GAC at 8 p.m. ET.
