Accepting the extended personal invitation of Gov. Mitt Romney, Lorrie Morgan performed at the first 2012 Republican rally setting the stage for Gov. Romney’s public address before more than 6,000 supporters in Denver, Colorado early last week.

Morgan appeared at Romney’s first rally “Wings Over The Rockies” on Monday, Oct. 1 held at The Air & Space Museum in Denver. She hailed our country with her rendition of the national anthem and performed her hits, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” and “Except For Monday.” Her closing performance of “Trilogy” moved the audience to tears and a standing ovation in adoring admiration.

Morgan, who is recognized as Country royalty and a renaissance woman of the genre, is openly devoted to Americans across the country and abroad. She is applauded for her demonstrated patriotic support of our troops and our country. Morgan has performed on multiple occasions for our troops and for the benefit of our brothers and sisters of service. In December 2011, Lorrie was called upon, along with a list of Hollywood notables and American heroes, to perform at Christmas Concert For The Troops—an annual holiday concert in honor of active duty military—at our nation’s capital. The celebration is held each year purely in gratitude and recognition of the men and women who serve on behalf of our country.

“I am very proud of this country,” Morgan said. “But, as a business and working woman, a mother, a grandmother…I, too, have seen the tragedy; not just on newsstands, but in the eyes of my family, friends and fans. My ambition and motivation is to celebrate the spirit that this country was built upon and reunite us as a working nation—to stand together as patriots—as Americans, to regain our hope and our strength.”

Bringing Hollywood flair to the country music format, Lorrie Morgan is a decorated music legend who has celebrated three No. 1 hits: “Five Minutes,” "What Part Of No" and "I Didn't Know My Own Strength” in addition to more than 25 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. Morgan has played parts on Broadway and in theater.  She’s recorded duets with Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis,
Andy Williams, The Beach Boys and Keith Whitley.

A second rally appearance by Ms. Morgan is anticipated later this month.
