Kenny Chesney’s latest album, Hemingway’s Whiskey, has gone Platinum giving the superstar his 10th Platinum album. The critically acclaimed album features the smash No. 1 singles “Boys Of Fall,” “Somewhere With You,” “Live A Little,” and the GRAMMY nominated “You And Tequila.” Chesney’s 5th single off Hemingway’s Whiskey, “Reality,” is currently climbing the country airplay charts.

Chesney will hit the road in 2012 on the ‘Brothers of the Sun’ Tour with Tim McGraw. The tour is already breaking records as fans have purchased nearly 275,000 pre-sale tickets which is more than any of the superstar’s previous initial on-sales.

By the end of the day Saturday (12/3), Chesney sold more tickets for the first eight available shows than on any of the superstar’s previous initial on-sales. Nearly 275,000 tickets were sold for the blockbuster tour, with eight more shows on sale this weekend (details below).

Shows rapidly approaching sell-outs include Dallas, Foxboro, and Chicago, where Chesney had his strongest initial on-sale to date. With tickets for 12 shows still set to go on-sale, Chesney, whose “You and Tequila” featuring Grace Potter was recently nominated for two GRAMMY Awards, is looking at another one-million ticket summer after reaching that milestone for his last eight consecutive tours.

The 'Brothers of the Sun' Tour will be the first time in 10 years that Chesney and McGraw have hit the road together. Featuring Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Jake Owen, the tour will hit stadiums across the country including East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium, Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field, Nashville's LP Field, and two shows at Foxboro's Gillette Stadium.
