Rodney Atkins Will Perform in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Rodney Atkins joins a favorite holiday tradition this year as he was added to the performer lineup for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. On Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, the 85th Anniversary celebration will take over New York City with more than 8,000 participants. Atkins will join the event and perform fan-favorite hits and new songs including his No. 1 title track from his latest album, “Take a Back Road.”

"I am so excited this year getting to play the 85th Anniversary Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®," said Atkins. "Everyone knows on Thanksgiving morning to get up, turn on the TV and watch the parade, so to be an actual participant is going to be fun and I'm looking forward to it. I am gonna have to put on my deer hunting gear though to stay warm!"
Some more performers for this year’s parade include Mary J. Blige, Cobra Starhip, Neil Diamond, Cee Lo Green, Avril Lavigne, Scotty McCreery, Daniel Radcliff and the cast of Broadway’s “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” and many more.
