With the most No. 1 singles of all time, it is no surprise that George Strait has hit yet another with his 58th No. 1 single, “Here For A Good Time.” It is his first number one as a songwriter. Strait co-wrote the song with his son, Bubba, and songwriter, Dean Dillon.

The King of Country Music has sold nearly 69 million records and, with 33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums, has the most RIAA platinum certifications in country music and the third most in all genres (behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley). Out of is 89 radio singles, 84 made it to the Top 10. In 2006 Strait was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

His latest album, Here For A Good Time, debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200. It is his eighth studio album to debut at No. 1 on the Top Country Album chart and his 24th overall No. 1 album.
