After being newly inducted into the Grand Ole Opry and receiving nominations for the CMA Awards, Rascal Flatts announced their winter tour, “Thaw Out 2012,” with special guest Sara Evans and opener Hunter Hayes. The trio will kick off their tour in Charleston, W.Va. at the Civic Center Coliseum on Jan. 12 and will run through Feb. 18.

Last month, the band finished with their 2011 tour across the nation, “Flatts Fest.” The Buffalo News wrote, "This band is incredibly tight and capable of conjuring up grandiose, emotion-filled moments.”

Their first album on Big Machine Records, Nothing Like This, debuted last fall at No. 1 on the country album sales chart and became one of only four country acts to debut six consecutive studio albums at No. 1. The award-winning trio debuted in 2000 and has since sold more than 20 million albums and 25 million digital downloads and delivered 13 No. 1 singles. They are the most awarded country group of the past decade. Currently, Rascal Flatts is nominated as Vocal Group of the Year at “The 45th Annual CMA Awards.”

Joining Rascal Flatts for the “Thaw Out” tour is multi-platinum RCA recording artist Sara Evans. The 2005 ACM Female Vocalist of the Year has sold nearly 6 million records, and had 5 No. 1 country singles. Her most recent release, her sixth studio album, Stronger, debuted at No. 1 for two weeks and features the Platinum single “A Little Bit Stronger.” The country singer has been dubbed one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” and competed in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. This year the CMA Awards have nominated Evans for Single of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.
