American Country Awards Nominees Announced

ACA 2011

The nominees for the second annual American Country Awards have been announced. The awards show will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday, Dec. 5 from 8 to 10 PM/ET live PT tape-delayed on Fox.

 
The lead nominees with eight nominations each are Jason Aldean and Zac Brown Band. Thompson Square came in next with seven and The Band Perry and Taylor Swift each follow close behind with six.
 
Fans can vote once each day for their favorite nominees at www.theacas.com. Voting is open until Friday, Nov. 11 for all categories, except Artist of the Year, which is open until Friday, Dec. 2. The nominees were determined by four media measurement companies: BigChampagne (record sales and media consumption); Great American Country (video airplay); Mediabase (radio airplay); and Pollstar (touring data).
 
The American Country Awards will be hosted by Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth and will feature performances and appearances by the year’s chart-topping country artists.

The American Country Awards are the only country music awards show that gives fans the opportunity to vote for their favorite artists in the traditional categories as well as previously unrecognized areas of the business.
 

The awards are executive-produced by Bob Bain with Fletcher Foster, Paul Flattery and Tisha Fein as producers and Greg Sills as supervising producer. It will be directed by Michael Dempsey.
