The 45th Annual CMA Awards Brings New Acts to the Show


 The 45th Annual CMA Awards continues to add to their all-star lineup with reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year, Lady Antebellum; reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, Miranda Lambert; and nominees for this year’s awards, The Band Perry.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the awards show this year. It airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 9. The performers listed include Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban. Paisley and Underwood have also been recently added to perform “Remind Me” for the first live televised performance of the No. 1 song. 
Award winning group Lady Antebellum has won six CMA Awards, including New Artist in 2008 and two consecutive wins for Vocal Group of the Year in 2009 and 2010. They have also received Single of the Year twice for “I Run to You” and “Need You Now” and an additional trophy for co-producing the 2010 Single of the Year. This year, Lady A is up for Vocal Group of the Year.
Miranda Lambert is a three-time CMA Award winner, including Female Vocalist in 2010, Album of the Year in 2010 for Revolution, and Music Video of the Year in 2010 for “The House That Built Me.” This year Lambert has two CMA nominations. She is up for Female Vocalist and Musical Event of the Year for her performance of “Coal Miner’s Daughter” with Sheryl Crow and Country Music Hall of Fame member Loretta Lynn.
As for The Band Perry, they have been nominated in the New Artist, Single and Music Video categories. They are nominated for four CMA Awards this year, and lead singer Kimberly Perry is nominated for Song of the Year for writing “If I Die Young.” It is her first solo nomination.
Tickets for “The 45th Annual CMA Awards” are currently on sale and start at $110 for Upper Level seating. The prices include tax, but exclude applicable service fees. Tickets may be purchased at or Ticketmaster outlets; by calling (800) 745-3000; or at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office, located at 501 Broadway (corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway, Nashville). Tickets go fast and best available seats must be purchased early.
