Martina McBride hopes to raise breast cancer awareness on Oct. 14 by lighting the Empire State Building pink. After the lighting, she will perform in an event called "Martina McBride: Light Up The Sky in partnership with Stanford Women's Cancer Center." The concert can be accessed on Clear Channel Radio's websites.

"October 14 will be a very special day to send a collective message of hope to breast cancer patients, survivors and their supporters as we turn one of the world's most popular landmarks pink," says Martina.

Martina, who is one of this year's CMA Female Vocalist of the Year nominees, will become the first artist to perform a private concert from the Empire State Building. She will sing several songs, including her new song, "I'm Gonna Love You Through It." The song tells the story of a woman with breast cancer through the eyes of her husband.

"The first time I heard 'I'm Gonna Love You Through It,' I got chills from my head to my toes. I get chills every time I sing it live," says Martina. "I've heard from so many people that this song has touched their lives. To be able to sing this from such an iconic place as the Empire State Building among breast cancer survivors and their supporters will be an incredibly special and meaningful experience for me. I am excited that the team from Stanford will be there with me. It is a perfect fit."

The video for Martina's song features several real cancer survivors and includes a few celebrities who have battled with the disease. Hoda Kotb, Robin Roberts, Sheryl Crow and Katie Couric all make appearances in the video, which can be viewed here: http://www.vevo.com/watch/martina-mcbride/im-gonna-love-you-through-it/USUV71101181.
