Award-winning country artist Taylor Swift recently announced the anticipated release of her Speak Now World Tour performance on CD/DVD and CD/Blu-ray for Nov. 21 by Big Machine Records. The Broadway-inspired tour will be in stores the day before the US tour wraps with the second of two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden.
Taylor currently holds an Entertainer of the Year nomination among her five 2011 CMA nods. She is the reinging Entertainer of the Year for both Country Music and Entertainment Weekly.
Her Speak Now World Tour sent Taylor to 17 countries spanning three continents for 98 shows and has been extended into 2012 with shows in Australia and New Zealand. But if fans can’t make it to the land down under and weren’t able to catch the others or just want to watch the show again and again, the Speak Now World Tour – LIVE is the ticket in.
The DVD/Blu-Ray set will give fans the complete concert experience with performances of all 17 songs from Taylor’s Speak Now show plus bonus content. The CD will contain over 75 minutes of music, with live versions of favorites from the Speak Now album.
The Speak Now performance is full of elaborate costumes, dancers, aerialists, changing sets and innovative choreorgraphy and instrumentation showcased on a multi-level stage, to be reminiscent of a Broadway production. Taylor plays several different insturments during the show: five different guitars, two banjos, the ukulele and the piano. She has a costume change nine timres throughout the show and uses the entire stage so that every audience member has a great seat.
