On Nov. 1, Brad Paisley will release his first book, co-written with Rolling Stone contributor, David Wild. The book, titled Diary of a Player, is all about the great musicians who played a part in Brad's life and career.

"It is a love letter to the guitar," says Jonathan Merkh, the vice president and publisher of Howard Books. "The book pays homage to an instrument that Paisley realized was his only real constant no matter how he changed and evolved."

Brad's grandfather gave him his first guitar at age 8, and by age 13, he was opening for major acts including George Jones, The Judds and Ricky Skaggs. He is the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year and his current album, This Is Country Music, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. This year, for the fourth year in a row, Brad will be co-hosting the CMA Awards with Carrie Underwood. You can catch the awards live Nov. 9 on ABC. And don't forget to look for Brad's book in stores Nov. 1!
