With CMA nominees announced, many of country music's most popular artists are celebrating their nominations. One of these artists is Eric Church, who has been nominated for the CMA’s Top New Artist of the Year.

"Though I’ve tried to make my career not just about winning awards, it's always great to be recognized, and I’m especially honored in this case, because the CMA voting members are my peers,” says Church. “It's always really rewarding when other people who also do this for a living acknowledge what you’re doing.”

Church’s current single, “Drink in my Hand,” is rising up the country radio charts, and fans can catch him on the road at upcoming solo shows and on the Locked and Loaded Tour with Toby Keith.

Capitol Records Nashville artist, Luke Bryan, received his second nomination in the New Artist category, but it is not the only great news Bryan has gotten lately. His latest album, Tailgates & Tanlines, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Country Album chart and the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Top 200 and had more than 145, 296 units sold.

“I am so fired up about the nomination for CMA New Artist!,” said Bryan from his home in Nashville. “These moments are life changing, and I am very thankful to have this opportunity to represent the future of our format along with the other four nominees who I not only consider my peers, but my friends as well.”

Bryan headlines “CMT ON TOUR: Luke Bryan- Tailgates & Tanlines,” on Sept. 15 in Huntington, West Virginia.
