Lorrie Morgan, an ANR recording artist, has just returned from sharing her country music with her international fans in Europe. It was the first time in nearly ten years that Morgan and her crew traveled to visit and share her music with fans.

“After ten years, I couldn’t wait to get back. The people and sights are just as beautiful as I remember. …And it’s breathtaking to see folks from all walks of life sing the lyrics to my songs while I’m performing. Country music is truly a universal language that speaks to all,” Lorrie gushed. “I’m already talking to promoters about returning next summer.”

Traveling all over the continent, Morgan began the summer in Germany for two consecutive shows in June at Four Corners Music Hall in Untermeitingen, an hour outside of Munich. She then traveled to Interlaken, Switzerland where she played at the 3-day annual Trucker & Country Festival. From there, she took a turn toward Italy in Voghera, near Milan. After that, she returned to the U.S. to perform in back-to-back shows before returning overseas once more in August.

She then appeared in Silkeborg, Denmark at the SCC Country Music Festival and then headed immediately to the Scandinanvian Country Fair in Furuvik, Sweden. But even after a non-stop tour in Europe, Morgan is still going here in the States. She is now preparing for her Fall schedule. This tour will take her from the Dakotas to Wyoming and Montana, back to the Midwest in Indiana, and then finally toward home with Texas, Kentucky and her home state of Tennessee. Her 2011 tour season will end in Alaska and a handful of dates in which she will headline shows up and down the East coast.

She is also preparing to release Beyond the Interview: Lorrie Morgan (ANR Records), a boxed set with a documentary video with appearances from family, friends, industry peers, as well as some of Lorrie’s all-time personal musical favorites. It is scheduled to be released in late Fall 2011.
